The Block at Orange

The Block at Orange, now known as The Outlets at Orange, is an open-air outlet mall located at 20 City Boulevard West in the city of Orange, California. Situated in northern Orange County, it lies near the convergence of several major freeways—the Interstate 5 (Santa Ana Freeway), State Route 22 (Garden Grove Freeway), and State Route 57—an area locally nicknamed the "Orange Crush." This strategic location places the mall about 2.5 miles from Disneyland, making it accessible to both local residents and the millions of tourists who visit the region annually. The surrounding area is a mix of suburban neighborhoods and commercial zones, benefiting from proximity to major highways and tourist attractions in Southern California.

Originally opened in 1998 as The Block at Orange on the site of a former enclosed mall called The City Shopping Center, the mall was redeveloped into an open-air lifestyle center with a focus on outlet shopping, dining, and entertainment. It was the first outdoor mall developed by The Mills Corporation without the Mills branding and later renamed The Outlets at Orange in 2011 after ownership transferred to Simon Property Group.
